Café Munding is Tyrol’s oldest confectionery-café, established in 1803 and located in the former Gumpphaus just 100 metres west of the Golden Roof at Mundingplatz.
Since 1803, we have been producing our entire range in our in-house confectionery here on Kiebachgasse. Some of our cakes have been baked for decades using the same traditional recipes passed down from our ancestors, and we equally enjoy experimenting with new recipes and creations.
Our specialities include the gluten-free house cake, the Raspberry Meringue, as well as the Andreas Hofer cannonball and the sweet Shingles from the Golden Roof: honey-roasted almonds, pistachio marzipan and almond nougat inspired by the shingles of the original and Innsbruck’s landmark.
